Job Description

We are seeking a System Administrator with a solid IT infrastructure background and a passion for cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will be experienced in Windows and Linux environments, with hands-on knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, and cloud platforms like Azure and AWS. The role includes managing systems, performing routine maintenance, and taking an active part in security monitoring, incident response, and SIEM integrations. Candidates pursuing or transitioning into cybersecurity will be preferred. Exposure to tools like Wazuh, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Nessus, ELK Stack , Security Onion etc is a plus. Basic scripting skills (Bash/PowerShell), familiarity with security principles, and the ability to support hybrid IT environments are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and monitor Windows and Linux servers, user systems, and core infrastructure components.

Manage and maintain Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, and user provisioning workflows.

Perform routine patch management, antivirus updates, disk space checks, and system health monitoring.

Maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations, asset inventory, and operational procedures.

Assist in vulnerability remediation, MFA implementation, access reviews, and log monitoring.

Participate in IT audits and help close compliance-related tasks.

Apply and promote cybersecurity best practices, including least privilege access, MFA, and security baselines.

Manage and support vulnerability management processes, endpoint protection systems, and firewall rule configurations.

Perform incident response activities, including log analysis, security event investigations, and remediation coordination.

Perform security monitoring, manage access control mechanisms, and handle SIEM tool integrations.

Handle integration and monitoring of security tools such as Wazuh and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.

Use Bash and PowerShell scripting for automation, system management, and routine administrative tasks.

Exposure to or hands-on experience with security tools such as: Wazuh, Security Onion, ELK Stack, Microsoft Sentinel Nessus, OpenVAS, and other vulnerability scanners

Familiarity with: Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Conditional Access
