ThinkPalm Technologies has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Singapore Polytechnic (SP) to develop AI-driven Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions aimed at helping small and medium enterprises measure and improve their sustainability performance.
The agreement brings together SP’s expertise in applied technology education with ThinkPalm’s IIoT and artificial intelligence capabilities. The collaboration is intended to speed up the adoption of sustainability measurement tools among Singapore’s SMEs and start-ups, at a time when the city-state is positioning itself as a regional hub for carbon services.
Under the MOU, ThinkPalm and SP will work jointly on IIoT solutions that allow smaller businesses to track and manage their environmental impact more easily. ThinkPalm’s IIoT platform, NetvirE, is expected to underpin much of this work as the partnership progresses.
Officials from both organizations said the initiative also has a talent-development component. SP students may get the chance to work on sensor-design projects alongside ThinkPalm engineers, giving them exposure to industry-level IIoT development.

As part of the tie-up, SP students will also be eligible for internships at ThinkPalm’s offices in Kochi, Trivandrum and Chennai, giving them a chance to gain practical work experience in IIoT and sustainability projects.

SP has also invited ThinkPalm to help develop a curriculum framework centred on industry projects, and ThinkPalm has joined the polytechnic’s industry partner network. The two organizations expect to take part in joint seminars and other engagement activities in the coming months.
